X Registry(X 関連情報の登記簿)

 X.Org Foundationは、レジストリ(登記簿)を使ってある種の X 関連情報を管理している。目的は、同情報の各項目が衝突しないようにすることと、各項目の共有を容易にすることである。情報登記の申請、登記に関する質問は下記のメールアドレス・住所まで。

2. KEYSYMS

 各組織が登録できるのは「private」な keysyms に限られる(32~30番目のビットが0、29番目のビットが 1 であるkeysyms の集合)。「standard」な keysyms は X.Org Foundation が定める。keysym の実際の数値は「private」と決まっているので、同じ数値の登記を認める方針である(奨めはしないが)。(訳註:例えば 0x1000FF00 が二つある)
